Stopped in on our way to our campsite, was undecided then the lady said here's what our chz steak looks like I said wow gimme that. It didn't disappoint a loaded steak sandwich and it was great. The shocker was my fries, perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper and just great. Will be back for sure.

We had a wonderful lunch at the Freedom diner. The decor is over the top Americana, not partisan, just true red white and blue. The staff is very kind, attentive and friendly. The food was solid. Great fries, the perogies were perfect. They even made us a huge garden salad full of fresh veggies. The coffee was the best I've had in that area.

We were in town to go skiing at Elk Mountain, and left with an unexpected yet heartwarming memory of a special place called Freedom Diner. Upon walking in, we were met with friendly “good mornings” from the staff. With that being said, we can’t tell what was more of a treat, the service or the food! Everything was delicious, Thalen even finished his entire Liberty platter (a ton of food for $16). If you ever find yourself near Forest City, a stop into Freedom Diner is a must!

Freedom Diner gets a 5 out of 5 in my book as an excellent Burger and Fry joint with a variety of other great Americana dishes! After being greeted by a very friendly and welcoming staff, we started off with some excellent Fried Zucchini Sticks which were as good as I’ve had at much more expensive restaurants. We both had the Murphy Deluxe Burger which was a perfectly grilled beef patty adorned with top quality thick cut bacon and a house made Bourbon Sauce. The fries were crisp and nicely seasoned. No room in the tummies for dessert this time but we will be back again and again I’m sure!

Friendly staff, great vibe. Got some home fries to go, THEY WERE AMAZING!!! So much so, my son went back the next day to get us all some more and we will be going back in a day or 2 to actually sit & have breakfast.

Was in the area and looking for a place to have coffee eat and read for a bit. Was a very welcoming friendly environment. The time of day I was here was a quite comfortable spot. If your around stop by for some grub had a "rachel" twist on a ruben made with turkey and Swiss. Great
